Little Fern is a small, nature-based preschool serving 3-5 year-olds in Oak Grove, Oregon. At Little Fern we believe that hands-on, experiential learning centered around the natural world fosters self-confidence, environmental stewardship, resiliency, collaboration, and creativity in young children.

Our learning is guided by nature, and we begin and end each day in our outdoor classroom. Led by a seasonal, emergent, and inquiry-based curriculum, children are supported in their social, emotional, and cognitive development through open-ended play and deep exploration. Balancing unstructured free play and project-based curriculum, we explore the world around us in unhurried and thoughtful discovery.
